Dec 20, 2011 by

I have a special treat for visitors to the Metro Phoenix area, if you are a walker when you play golf then there is a fabulous deal available for you. Check out TPC Scottsdale The Champions Course. It was completely renovated in 2007 and stretches to a 7100 yard par 71. http://www.tpc.com/scottsdale-the-champions-course

The best deal is the price if you are walking, check out the video to find out how much or little it is to play this gem.

We consider the TPC Scottsdale The Champions Course to be GOLF BELLES RECOMMENDED (GBR)!

Set in the Sonoran Desert and surrounded by the majestic McDowell Mountains, the Tournament Players Club of Scottsdale, a 36-hole daily fee public golf course owned and operated by the PGA TOUR represents the standards of excellence in golf operations world wide. The design team of Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish created a masterful blend of challenge and playability between the Stadium Course and the Champions Course, two uniquely different golfing venues.

The Champions Course
Rivaling its famous sister course in both beauty and playability, the Randy Heckenkemper-designed Champions Course offers the ideal desert golf experience. Built on the former site of TPC Scottsdale’s Desert Course, the layout was completely revamped in 2007 to flow seamlessly within the naturally rugged terrain, meandering between natural ravines and through picturesque foothills.

The course was crafted to balance strategy with design, so as not to favor any one type of play. Each hole can be played a multitude of ways – providing golfers of all skill levels with a challenging experience that can be significantly different each time they play. A quartet of challenging finishing holes adds an acclaimed ending stretch that promises to leave even the best players with goose bumps.

Fees commensurate with municipal golf facilities and a PGA TOUR caliber experience throughout make The Champions Course one of Arizona’s “must-play” tracks.
